Founders' Scholarship RECIPIENTS

Cornerstone CU is proud to announce the three recipients of the 2018 Founders' Scholarships: Kameron Ali from Hononegah High School received her certificate from CCU Board Member, Charles Beyer (not pictured), Jenna Skarlupka from Freeport High School received her certificate from CCU Board Member, Dr. Dan Schoaf, and Ruth Emily Castillo-Espinoza from Sterling High School received her certificate from Board Member, Carla Homan. (pictured in order above).

Kameron, Jenna and Ruth Emily have demonstrated leadership and dedication throughout their high school years with a commitment to furthering their education and community involvement.

Each will be awarded a $4,000 scholarship disbursed over four years.

As part of our ongoing effort to invest in our future leaders, the Founders' Scholarship program for graduating seniors is designed to encourage and promote degree completion and to reinforce the rewards for increased responsibility.

Watch for details for 2019 scholarship applicants this Fall. To apply, the applicant (student) must have a credit union membership account in which his/her name is primary on the account. Student must have the account open 30 days prior to the Scholarship application deadline, which will be January 31, 2020.

Note to parents: If you have not opened a CCU membership account for your children, do so now and help them get ready for the financial responsibilities of college life--having a child as a joint account on a parent's account does not qualify.

*Scholarships awarded in graduated payments over four academic years. Scholarship disbursement and award criteria are included in the application.
